In May, Willmeng was grateful to be a part of the Construction in Indian Country (CIIC) Conference and is incredibly honored for James Murphy, Willmeng’s CEO, to have the opportunity to be a keynote speaker at the event.

The CIIC National Conference is the only indigenous construction industry national conference and trade show hosted by a higher education institution in the United States. Architects, Engineers, Planners, Lawyers, Contractors, and Tribal Government Officials come together to provide the latest industry trends, policies, and best practices.

This year’s conference focused on “Rebuilding with Resilience,” which discusses the challenging two-year period the industry has faced throughout the pandemic, fluctuating construction markets, and the passing of major bills that brings millions of dollars to the Indian Country.

The three-day event was filled a variety of speakers including a women in construction panel, and many workshop options for attendees to choose from.

It is always an honor to work with the Indian Communities throughout Arizona. It was great to see the community come together with other industry experts to discuss building within Indian Country. Thank you to all the partners, sponsors, and the Indian community for organizing such a great event.
