This demolition and remodel project provided several challenges for the Willmeng team. The client wanted to gain occupancy 6-weeks ahead of schedule. In order to meet the client’s request by transforming a vacant Home Depot into a high-end medical facility, the team not only worked extra shifts, nights and weekends, they also collaborated closely with the architect, subcontractors, and owner to find ways to pull the schedule off. Working in 38 small exam rooms and having to address low steel beams, as well as the masonry wall, were additional challenges the team faced. The project also included an employee lounge, conference/training room, reception/lobby area, two procedure rooms, and auxiliary spaces. Willmeng completed the entire project within the compressed schedule on time.
