BASIS San Antonio – Shavano Campus

Willmeng broke ground on a $15.2 million public charter school for BASIS in San Antonio, Texas, in December 2017. Located at 4114 Lockhill-Selma Road, the new ground-up, two-story, 64,400 SF school houses students in the 5th through 12th grades and is the first secondary school for BASIS located in the Shavano Park community.

Designed by Orcutt-Winslow and constructed by Willmeng, the building features first floor office and administration space, science labs, music and drama rooms, and classrooms. Just outside the first floor multi-purpose room, a basketball court and artificial turf field were installed.

This fast-tacked project was the third Willmeng built for BASIS. It was completed under a nine-month schedule and turned over to the school three weeks early.
