This station includes 5 apparatus bays, 16 dorm rooms, a fitness room, work/living space, and dedicated quarters for the battalion chief. General fire station support areas will include a decontamination room, a turnout gear locker room, a self-contained breathing apparatus room, a workshop, infectious disease control transition spaces, an EMS room, a laundry room, a dining room, a patio, a day room, a firefighters office, a kitchen, a public lobby, restrooms, an exam room, and a conference room. The structure was built with a combination of insulated concrete forms and masonry. The work also included modifications to 163rd Avenue to accommodate traffic flow for the new station.
