ABOUT

The Cox Phoenix Operations Center Project involved the renovation of 31,000 SF of mixed use office space to support Cox’s technology group. Following demolition to the studs, we constructed new partitions within what are essentially two halves of the space: open office space and the Network Operations Center, or NOC. The open office space features cubicles, in-floor power and data for workstations, conference rooms, and high-end finishes. The NOC, which operates around-the-clock, features lineal seating much like that of a lecture hall, conference rooms, and card-reader access. Supporting the NOC is a room filled with dozens of uninterruptible power supplies capable of powering the key components of the NOC in the event of a power failure. Minutes after such a power failure, an outdoor generator would take over for the uninterruptible power supplies, creating a seamless backup system. Lastly, the office space and the NOC share a breakroom furnished with custom-made banquette seating. Along with integrating and distributing power and rebalancing the HVAC system, we completed this mission critical project at a cost of $1.7M.
