ABOUT

The Luke Air Force Base Fire Station in Glendale, Arizona, was in need of an overhaul after 20 years of wear and tear. Willmeng completed a thorough renovation through a partnership with Fighter Country Foundation & Partnership, a nonprofit organization supporting families and programs no longer receiving government funding at the base.

The 18,000 SF renovation entailed a complete facility upgrade and modernization, featuring new energy-efficient lighting, upgrades to the restrooms and the kitchen, and modernized living quarters. The upgrades also included dorm-style rooms to enable the firefighters to stay at the facility for 24-hour shifts. The work was completed in multiple phases while the occupied facility remained fully operational.
