The completed build-out for Voya includes an open-concept design, where natural light filters in through many windows and concrete accents offer a refreshing and modern vibe for occupants. The space also features a glass-wall system throughout, making for welcoming hallways and bright rooms. With numerous amenities; including a kitchen/meal prep area, break rooms with inviting dining areas, two large training rooms, and spaces for team huddles and regular collaboration. Using high-end finishes throughout, the space displays an upscale feel for employees and guests who enter the building. Large-format tile was used on the floors and elevator walls to lend sophistication and intrigue to its inhabitants. The existing exit corridor also received a refresh with new finishes and light fixtures. Voya also expressed a commitment to environmental sustainability which led to the addition of features such as LED lighting with automatic controls; open-collaboration workspaces within 15 feet of windows to utilize a daylight-harvesting system that offsets the amount of lighting needed to properly light the space; HVAC temperature controls to allow heating/cooling of individual sections of the facility as occupancy needs change; digital signage to curb printing; building materials made from recycled content for carpeting, wall coverings, ceiling tiles, hardwoods and fabrics; and electric vehicle charging stations. This completed project also offers 10- to 12-foot celling heights, high-quality finishes, and a six per 1,000 parking ratio.
