John Bingham giving safety talksafety weekAt Willmeng, safety is always at the forefront, and the company is proud to offer a robust safety training and education program. This week, May 2-6, Willmeng will take part in both Construction Safety Week and OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction Week. These educational programs provide resources for Willmeng’s skilled workforce and are valuable tools for maintaining a healthy team.

During the next week, Willmeng will be having morning toolbox talks for field and office staff, with a different theme each day. These toolbox talks are great opportunities for team members to ask questions and share their thoughts and experiences, so participation is highly encouraged for everyone.

The toolbox talk topics for the week are:

Monday, May 2 – Staying Connected. Connection brings peace of mind, both at home and on the job, and creates stronger families and a stronger, safer crew.
Tuesday, May 3 – Be Supported. Providing support for one another on the job site makes it easier to speak up when we see potential risks.
Wednesday, May 4 – Stay Safe. Safety is a year-round focus, and the key to worksite safety is Hazard Recognition; Understanding the Safety Plan; Being Willing to Ask for Help; and Appreciation for the Team.
Thursday, May 5 – Mental Health Discussion. It’s important to evaluate your mental health on a daily basis; recognize the warning signs, and reach out for help if you need it.
Friday, May 6 – Thank you. Remember to Have a Plan; Inspect the Area, Tools, and Equipment; and Take Safety Home.
