Southern Ave. in Mesa, AZ.

Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc. is a subsidiary of Banco Santander, a global commercial and retail bank. The move is expected to add roughly 1,000 new jobs in Mesa after Santander relocates to the building beginning early next year.

The single-story Centrica building was completed in spring 2015 in the Superstition Corridor submarket of Maricopa County.

Phoenix Rising Investments LLC (PRI), along with Legacy Equity Partners, developed the back-office facility. Willmeng Construction Inc. and Nelsen Partners designed the project which features redundant fiber optic connectivity. Evolution Design and Willmeng Construction will complete the build out and tenant improvements.

“The trend for creative space is not going away,” said Ryan Bartos, managing director of Savills Studley, who was involved in what is expected to be one of the largest office transactions in Arizona for 2015.

Bartos and Matt Coxhead with Savills Studley represented the tenant and the landlord in negotiating the lease deal.
