Willmeng was recently recognized as the 2017 #1 Best Small Place to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal! During the award ceremony, 114 companies in various industries were recognized for being ranked very highly in employee surveys.
Willmeng is an 85+ person firm that puts an emphasis on exemplifying the best practices in leadership, company culture, wellness, and community and family involvement. Employee motivation is the result of feeling respected, valued and recognized, and Willmeng lives this out through regular assessments, group volunteer activities, an active wellness program and family-inclusive company retreats, just to name a few.
“It’s no surprise to me that ‘family’ was the number one word chosen by majority of our team in the survey to describe Willmeng’s work environment,” said Willmeng President James Murphy. “Our efforts in creating a diverse and unified team are intentional.”
Employee statements from the survey include:
“Balancing work and a personal life can be difficult to do in a fast-paced and demanding industry. Willmeng leads employees in the direction of balance and recognizes that family plays a role in our ability to perform well in the industry. Willmeng goes out of its way to take care of employees, and I’m glad to wear Willmeng blue.” – Anonymous employee
“Willmeng embodies a culture that genuinely cares. It’s obvious that the people in the organization, exemplified by leadership, are most concerned about doing the right thing. A lot of companies talk about it, but I see frequent examples of Willmeng actually doing it. People are treated with genuine respect, compassion and fairness, even in tough situations.” – Anonymous employee
“I have worked closely with over a dozen companies in my career – I have found Willmeng to be unique, and I hope to retire here. Willmeng only hires the best and brightest and then empowers them to carry out their roles and duties. Most companies can only dream of the work environment and culture that exists at Willmeng. I feel so blessed to be part of this great organization. Amazing people from top to the bottom.” – Anonymous employee
